About

We help business, governments, nonprofits and individuals turn great ideas into real-world success.

In today’s world, the organizations that thrive — whether they’re large or small — are the ones that can see the big trends coming long before they arrive. You need to know where to find opportunities before they emerge and how to tackle challenges before they become obstacles.

Whether you’re a company trying to navigate the complexities of the economy, public policy and investment, or a charity working to lift up a specific community, we can help guide your strategy – and create positive change, progress and impact. Our team has helped achieve some of North America’s biggest successes in green economy, urban land use and business investment.

Making your idea a reality means steering it through the complexities of government, business, social and environmental issues. That’s where we come in. We live at the intersection of public policy, business investment and environmental and social change. Convergence can help you navigate that terrain because we know it like nobody else.

Our team has worked on everything from targeted local projects to international initiatives. They’ve worked with enterprises and boutique companies, with all levels of government, and with the full gamut of non-profit and advocacy organizations.

Our extensive networks of relationships give us a 360-degree perspective on the issues that matter most to you. We’ll help you speak the language of your key constituencies — and spot the hidden obstacles and opportunities that can make all the difference to your success.

Mike Magee

Mike Magee is a leading international sustainability strategist, working with business, government and NGOs to address critical environmental challenges while making the most of the opportunities offered in a new, green economy.

Whether it’s been on trade delegations to Asia helping green tech companies close those all-important first deals in new markets, or forging alliances to address climate change through the Global Compact of Mayors, Mike is as comfortable on the global stage as he is on the main street of any city.

Working with Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson as his Chief of Staff through three successive terms, he was instrumental in crafting and implementing the strategies, partnerships and agendas that have made the city a global leader in sustainability and civic innovation – recognized by the World Economic Forum as the world’s greenest city.

Since leaving the mayor’s office in 2016, Mike has been at the forefront of an international network of senior decision-makers, grappling with the risks and opportunities of the changing urban agenda around the world.

Suzanne Hawkes

For nearly two decades, Suzanne Hawke’s skills as a management consultant, coach and facilitator have helped governments, NGOs and companies alike embrace change, leverage diversity, and align their teams toward greater levels of performance and collaboration.

Suzanne has coached a wide array of not-for-profit and business leaders across the USA and Canada, and helped organizations develop effective, engaging programs to foster their next generation of leadership. She has helped those organizations achieve new levels of resilience and focus with initiatives around strategic planning and team effectiveness. And she has supported them in working skilfully across differences, finding new internal strength—and external alliances—through a deeper understanding and practice of equity and inclusion.

Suzanne co-founded Canada’s first non-profit communications training and service centre, and has worked extensively in public engagement and consultation. She is the sole Canadian trainer with the acclaimed Rockwood Leadership Institute, and holds a Master’s Degree in resource and environmental management. She is also a Dialogue Associate with Simon Fraser University, and an instructor and co-designer in the Executive Leadership certificate programs of both Simon Fraser University and Booth University.
